Our mission
At the heart of our work is the belief that strong communities are built through connection. We create spaces where people can meet, share experiences, and support one another - bridging cultures, perspectives, and ideas.
In a time of challenge and uncertainty, our mission is both immediate and enduring: to provide urgent support where it is needed while building a resilient, visible, and empowered Ukrainian community in the Netherlands for the years ahead. Through cultural initiatives, civic participation, and collaborative projects, we amplify Ukrainian voices, preserve cultural identity, and create opportunities for dialogue, learning, and support.
Our Goals
Strengthening Community
We bring Ukrainians together through community events, volunteer initiatives, and partnerships that foster connection, mutual support, and belonging.
Promoting Ukrainian Culture and Voice
We raise awareness of Ukrainian culture, history, and contemporary stories through film screenings, literature events, artistic collaborations, and public discussions.
Mobilising Support for Ukraine
We coordinate fundraising initiatives, partnerships, and humanitarian support to address urgent needs in Ukraine.
How We Make It Happen
Community Building and Civic Engagement
We create spaces for Ukrainians and local residents to connect, collaborate, and contribute:
• volunteer initiatives and solidarity actions
• facilitated meet-ups that encourage connection and peer support
• initiatives that foster dialogue and social cohesion
Cultural Visibility and Dialogue
We organise cultural and public events that introduce Ukrainian culture and perspectives to international audiences:
• Ukrainian film screenings and film festivals
• Book clubs and meetings with writers
• Concerts, artistic events, and thematic cultural evenings
• Collaborations with local cultural institutions, libraries, and community spaces
Fundraising and Humanitarian Support
We mobilise resources to support urgent needs in Ukraine:
• medical aid for frontline regions in partnership with MedHelp Dnipro
• charity events and awareness campaigns
• partnerships supporting humanitarian and recovery initiatives
